Crafting story experiences
What does storytelling look like in the 21st century?
Stories began as an oral tradition, passed down through generations to share lessons and preserve knowledge. Families and friends would gather around the campfire, captivated by tales that came to life in their imaginations as they gazed into the flames.
The written word followed, and with the invention of the printing press, books became widely accessible. This medium remains a cornerstone of storytelling, and long may it continue!
The 20th century brought cinema, shifting storytelling onto the screen. Today, video games, audiobooks, e-books, and other digital formats dominate the storytelling landscape.
As technology evolves, Kingdom Arcade is dedicated to keeping the spirit of storytelling alive while embracing new ways to tell stories.
Founder Matt is an author of urban fantasy and fantasy fiction novels, as well as a software engineer, creating apps and games that explore innovative storytelling methods.
